Perimeter
85 \times 4 = 340
340 metres.

Now each step = 50 CM = 1/2 Metres

total steps=
340 \div 0.5 = 340 \times 2 = 680
680 Steps

Given :

Side of square garden = 85 m

To Find :

If she covers 50 cm in one step, how many steps will she take to run once round the garden?

Solution:

Side of square garden = 85 m

1 m = 100 cm

85 m = 8500 cm

So, Side of square garden = 8500 cm

Perimeter of square garden =4 \times Side = 8500 \times 4 =34000 cm

Shaloo runs along the sides of a Square Garden

She covers 50 cm in 1 step

She covers 1 cm in steps = \frac{1}{50}

She covers 34000 cm in steps = \frac{34000}{50}=680 steps

Hence She will take 680 steps  to run once round the garden
