Let the distance covered during the first half journey be x.

Speed during first half = 35 km/h

Time taken = \frac{x}{35}

Distance covered during return journey is also x.

Speed during return journey = 25 km/h

Time taken = \frac{x}{25}

Average speed = \frac{2x}{\frac{x}{35} +\frac{x}{25} }

Average speed = \frac{175 \times 2}{12}

Average speed = 29.16 km/h

Hence, the average speed for the entire journey is 29.16 km/h
