Step-by-step explanation:

soln:

cost price of 400 apples = Rs. 1500

cost proce of 1 apple =

 =  \frac{1500}{400} =  \frac{15}{4} =3.75

now,

the selling price of 12 apples = Rs. 50

Thus, the selling price of 1 apple =

 =  \frac{50}{12} =  \frac{25}{6} = 4.167

Thus, profit =

 = selling \: price - cost \: price \\  = 4.167 - 3.75 \\  = 0.417

Thus , shambu got a profit of Rs. 0.417.

Step-by-step explanation:

shambu bought 400 apple at = 1500 rupees

the cost price of each apple= 1500÷ 400

= 3.75 rupees / apple

the selling price of apple 12 apple at = 50 rupees

total apple in dozen= 33 dozen 3 apple

the selling price of each apple= 4.16 rupees/apple

the selling price of 33 dozen at the rate = 50 rupees per dozen= 33×50= 1650

the sell price of 3 apple at the rate of = 4.16 rupees per apple = 3× 4.16= 12.48 rupees

total selling price= 12.48 + 1650 = 1662.48

Profit= selling price - cost price

Profit= 1662.48 - 1500

Profit= 162.48 rupees
