Shan got total amount = 912 Rs
A/C to question ,
Number of 1 Rs coins = number of 5 Rs coins = number of 10 Rs coins
Let number of 1 Rs coins = x
∴ number of 5 Rs coins = x
∴ number of 10 Rs coins = x

Now, total amount = 912 Rs
⇒ amount of Rs + amount of 5 Rs + amount of 10 Rs = 912 Rs
⇒ number of 1 Rs coins × 1 Rs + number of 5 Rs coins × 5 Rs + number of 10 Rs coins × 10 Rs = 912 Rs
⇒ x × 1 + x × 5 + x × 10 = 912
⇒ x + 5x + 10x = 912
⇒ 16x = 912
⇒ x = 57

Hence, total number of coins = number of 1 Rs coins + number of 5 Rs coins + number of 10 Rs coins
= x + x + x = 3x = 3 × 57 = 171

Solution :-

As it is mentioned in the question that total of Rs. 912 are in denomination of equal of Rs. 1, Rs. 5 and Rs. 10.

Let the number of coins of each of the  denomination be 'x'

Total value of Rs. 1 coins = x*1 = Rs. x

Total value of Rs. 5 coins = 5*x = Rs. 5x

Total value of Rs. 10 coins = 10*x = 10x

Now, according to the question.

⇒ x + 5x + 10x = 912

⇒ 16x = 912

⇒ x = 912/16

⇒ x = 57

So, number of each of the denomination of Rs. 1, Rs. 5 and rs. 10 are 57

Value of each -

Value of Rs. 1 coins = 1*57 = Rs. 57

Value of Rs. 5 coins = 5*57 = Rs. 285

Value of Rs. 10 coins = 10*57 = Rs. 570

Total value = 57 + 285 + 570 = Rs. 912
