→ Shaded area = Area of larger rectangle with dimensions 12m and 30m - (Area of rectangle with dimensions 17m and 10m + Area of rectangle with dimensions 10m and 5m)

we know that,

• Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

so,

→ Shaded area = 30 * 12 - (17*10 + 10*5)

→ Shaded area = 360 - (170 + 50)

→ Shaded area = 360 - 220

→ Shaded area = 140 m² (Ans.)
