7\frac{1}{4} kg of sugar was consumed for the whole month.

Given:

Amount of sugar consumed in first 15 days= 3\frac{1}{2} kg

Amount of sugar consumed in the next 15 days = 3\frac{3}{4} kg

To find:

Amount of sugar consumed for the whole month

Solution:

The amount of sugar consumed in the whole month can be calculated by adding the amount of sugar consumed in the first 15 days and the amount of sugar consumed in the last 15 days.

According to the given data, 3\frac{1}{2} kg and 3\frac{3}{4}kg of sugar was consumed during the whole month.

The total amount of sugar consumed

= 3\frac{1}{2} + 3\frac{3}{4}

= 3 + 3 + (1/2 + 3/4)

= 6 + ((2+3)/4)

= 6 + 5/4

= 6 + 1 \frac{1}{4}

= 7\frac{1}{4} kgs

Hence,  7\frac{1}{4} kg of sugar was consumed for the whole month.
