  • Shankara was an advocate of Advaita. This is also known as the doctrine of the unity of the distinctive soul and the Supreme God which indicates the Ultimate reality.
  • Shankar Dayal Singh was a Literateur and parliamentarian who was twice elected to the Parliament of India. He was one of the youthful members of the Fifth Lok Sabha, in which he exemplified the Chatra parliamentary community in Bihar (now in Jharkhand). Questioning his maiden Lok Sabha election in 1971, he overthrew Smt. Vijaya Raje, the spouse of Sri Kamakhya Narayan Singh, Raja of Ramgarh. He was also enacted to the upper house, the Rajya Sabha, in 1990 from Bihar.
