Please look at the attached picture, which is missing from this question to understand this query.
Each triangle here is a half unit and each square unit here is equal to one unit.
If we look at this diagram Shape 1 has the 6 units and 4 half units.
6 + 4/2 = 6 + 2 = 8
so this means that shape 1 has total 8 units.
And if we talk about the Shape 2 it kind of looks like shape 1 but the only difference here is an extra bit which makes it larger than shape 1.
So the final answer for this question is that Shape 2 is larger as compared to the Shape 1.
