'Grapevine' is the term used for gossips and casual chats, engaged into between two or more employees or between a group, within an organisation or outside, in social circles. It is often an indulgence during office break-time or after-office hours or during social get-together.

Several healthy ideas beneficial to the organisation have their 'origin' from the grapevine. It might develop from a casual remark, which is then discussed further - depending on its interest and importance within the group and in due course be implemented or put into practice.

There are also instances of negative gossips which only serves to pull down or demotivate a person or group.

If individuals can refrain from such negative gossips, then the grapevine is the 'medium' for creativity and constructive actions.
