Shashank observed In an experiment that covered portion of the leaf shows no blue black colouration where as uncovered portion of the leaves shows blue black colouration. Give the reason for it. Which experiment he formed

the covered portion of the leaf cannot absorb the sunlight and cannot perform the photosynthesis as a result of this it cannot prepare the food and the starch is not formed so it doesn't show blue black colour but the uncovered portion absorbs the sunlight and performs photosynthesis and prepare starch the starch with iodine solution and gives blue black colour, from this experiment we can conclude that sunlight is necessary for the photosynthesis...

Because starch is produced in the uncovered area of leaf which turns blue black in the presence of iodine solution.
