Shashi bought new silver anklets. After a month she found that the anklets turn black. She has doubt that it is not of pure silver but her neighbor Rakhi advised her that it is of pure silver and wash it with tamarind or lemon juice to get the luster back. She followed the advice and get the luster of her anklet back. Read the above passage and answer the following questions: (a) Do you think that the anklets are not of pure silver? these anklets are of pure silver. But this silver has reacted wirh air and black solid is formed.when it reacts with lemon juice it becomes lustrous becquse it is acid.
