Shashi had a cuboidal brick of cheese. She divided the cheese brick into two identical halves. Each of the half was a
cube.
If the volume of the cuboidal brick was 128 cm³, find the surface area of each cube.

we know that :-

volume of cube = a³

where a is the side of cube .

and

surface area of cube = 6a²

Here,

According to given :

volume of one cube is equal to half of volume of cuboid.

=> volume of cube = 128 / 2 = 64 cm³

=> a³ = 4³

=> a = 4 cm  

Now ,

The surface area of one cube = 6 * 4²

= 16 * 6

= 96 cm²

=> the surface area of two cubes = 2 * surface area of cube  

=> 2 * 96 = 192 cm² Answer
