shaurya is provided with three kinds of liquid. one is sodium hydroxide, another is is hydrochloride acid and three is a sugar solution. how will he identified then when he has only blue litmus.. (please give right answer)​

Ans.  First take the three liquid and dip blue litmus paper in it , we can see that hydrochloric acid will turn blue litmus red while the other two liquids will have no effect. From here it is clear that hydrochloric acid is acidic in nature.

      Now take the red litmus paper which was obtained by dipping blue litmus in hydrochloric and dip it in the other two solutions. We can see that sodium hydroxide will turn red litmus blue while sugar solution will have no effect. From this it will be clear that sodium hydroxide is basic in nature and sugar solution is neutral.
