Heya buddy using this method you can solve...
Since it is a shaving mirror, the mirror is concave.
f = -30cm
u = -15cm
According to mirror formula,
1/f = 1/v + 1/u
1/(-30) = 1/v + 1(-15)
-1/30 = 1/v - 1/15
-1/30 + 1/15 = 1/v
(-1+2)/30 = 1/v
1/30 = v
v = 30cm.
The image position is 30cm
Magnification = -v/u = -(30)/-15 = 30/15 = 2
The image thus formed is virtual, erect and magnified.
Since it is a shaving mirror, the mirror is concave.
