P=₹15000
One part = x
Other part = 15000-x
Simple interest of first part
P=x. R=15%. T=1 yr
S=PRT/100
=x×15×1/100
=15x/100
Simple interest of second part
P=15000-x. R=20%. T=1yr
S=PRT/100
=15000-x×20×1/100
=(15000-x)/5
Total interest=₹2500
Therefore,
15x/100+(15000-x)/5=2500
Then solve for x and put the value of x
X=₹10,000
First part=₹10,000
Second part=₹15,000-₹10,000
=₹5,000
