Step-by-step explanation:

Let cost price of milk per liter for B is x Rs

A buys 100 liters of milk from B.

Since, B had diluted the milk in the ratio of milk : water as 9:1

So, B should buys 90 liters to sell 100 liters milk by adding 10 liters of water.

Hence, total cost price for B =90x Rs

Since, B makes a profit of Rs. 1

So, selling price of milk for B =90x+1 Rs

Now, cost price for A = Selling price for B = 90x+1

A keeps 10 liters of milk for personal use and sells remaining 90 liters of milk by adding 10 liters water at 15 Rs/liter

So, selling price for A =15×100=1500 Rs

A earns a profit of Rs 2.75 per liter on the quantity sold.

So, profit =2.75×90=247.5 Rs

Now, we know that Selling price=cost price+profit

⇒1500=90x+1+247.5

⇒90x=1251.5

∴x=

90

1251.5

=13.91 Rs=14 Rs (Approx)
