Answer:

Q1 Answer: D) all of the above

Q2 Answer: C) Grandmother

Q3 Answer: A) she had grace and dignity about her

Explanation:

This extract is from 'The portrait of a lady' by Kushwant Singh. The story is about the writer's relationship with his grandmother. In this specific paragraph, he is talking about his grandmother's physical appearance and what the author thinks about her. According to him, his grandmother was short, fat, with a slightly bent posture and a wrinkled face. She has remained the same for the past twenty years. The author claims that he was beautiful but not pretty. She walked around the house awkwardly, dressed in spotless white, with rosary beads hanging from one hand and the other hand resting on her back for support. She had silver hair that was untidily combed and disorganized. She was always reciting prayers. He compares her to the peaceful and calm winter landscape of the mountains. He further says that she was a living manifestation of a pure, white, peace-emitting entity.
