Who says these words? When? Whose eyes are referred to? Why were the eyes considered to be useless? Bring out the irony of the situation

Answer:

The another traveller said these words when he met the narrator (author). The eyes were considered useless because the girl was completely blind. ( I am not sure what you actually mean by the last question, sorry for it).
