When Bruno was brought back to home the narrator and their family members made special arrangements for him.

An island measuring twenty feet long and fifteen feet wide was specially made for him. It was surrounded by a dry pit . A wooden box that that once housed fowls was brought and put on the island for Bruno to sleep at night. Straw was placed inside to keep him warm, and his 'baby' and the 'gun' were put back for him to play with......
