The story with my mother as a kid is like many of those I read in this group. In this post though I am going to focus on her behavior while I was pregnant to her first grandchild an due to complications I stayed in bed the first 4 months. She would talk to me on the phone at the beginning almost daily, but she would always find an excuse for not coming yet. Reasons included; she had many things to do, she wasn’t feeling very well and so on.. At this point I should inform you that I have two quite younger siblings one boy and one girl. Then, she demanded over the phone, as always, that as it was easter I should give money to my siblings 50 euro each. I answered that this was an unusual request especially for the specific period as I was dealing with problems with my job due to the months I was absent and the expenses we were facing that period were huge and I couldn’t afford it. Then she went hysterical, calling names and accusations and finally, without giving me any time to respond she hung up the phone to my face. She did nit talk to me again, not until I gave birth when she came to the hospital to she the baby... after that incident this has happened too many times. She rarely shes her grandchild and when she makes an excessive demand and I say no she is disappearing for weeks or even months unless she needs a favor. Then she magically forgets everything and calls like nothing has happened!
