Music

Music is a highly dignified and divine as any other art form such as poetry, painting, etc. It is the best way to become rhythmically creative. When you learn an instrument or a song, and then perform in front of audience, it not only makes you popular, but also boosts your confidence. People who know music, never ever do not feel bored, nor do they allow others to be bored!

Music is one of the beautiful things we have in our life. Its influence is everlasting. Music is the language of soul. There is a divine rhythm in music that sets the discordant and inharmonious thoughts and passions into perfect harmony! Seared by the agonies of follies, the soul often finds solace in the soothing symphonies of music. It is true that music is the medicine for the broken and anguished heart. Music and anguish have intimate bond between them. It has been observed that most soothing musical melodies come out of sorrowful hearts; and these melodies have the power to soothe and assuage the agonies and anguish of those who listen to these soulful melodies.

Impermanence of Life

The poem, The Photograph is about transience of human life, death, and mysteries surroundings them. The poet is looking at the photograph of her mother and missing her. The photograph depicts the scene of her mother’s childhood when she along with her cousins, Betty, Dolly, and uncle had gone to the beach. The uncle had clicked this photograph.

Many years later after the poet was born and grown up into a young lady, her mother and she would look at the photograph; the mother used to laugh at her childhood photograph.

After a few more years, the poet’s mother died. The poet still preserved that photograph. Now she would look at the photograph and miss her mother’s laughter at her own photograph. The poet felt the sea-holiday was her mother’s past; and her mother’s laughter had become her past now.

She also makes mention of man’s transience on the sands of life. When she thinks about all this she becomes miserably quiet with the sadness of separation from her mother.

Mourad’s Love For Animals

Mourad had a strong love for animals. He loved horses, dogs and birds. Mourad was a very kind-hearted boy. When Aram had rushed to Mourad’s house to break him the news that the stolen horse belonged to John Byro, he found him nursing a young robin. He healed it and helped it fly away. We also find how caringly he treated the stolen horse. As a result the stolen horse became a better horse. When he went to return the horse, he embraced the horse lovingly just before leaving it at John Byro’s farm. The dogs also did not bark at him when he walked into the John Byro’s farm to return the horse.
