Sheena left 2/3 of his property for his wife and 1/4 for his son and remaining for his daughter. What part does his daughter recieved?

property left for daughter= whole quantity-2/3+1/4= 12/12- 8/12+3/12=1/12

ishikaacharya123: first we add the quantities given. for that, we find the LCM of the denominators. it is 12. the answer we get is 8/12. this of course means that the property is divided into 12 parts and the whole is 12/12. we subtract the sum of the property given to son and wife to find property given to daughter. hope it helped.
