Sheep shearing is always done after the winter. Why?

Shearing is always done after winter because if all the fleece is sheared off a sheep in winter, then the sheep will die due to cold as no body heat will be trapped as there will be no hair. Also, it is usually done in spring time, apparently in march because if the fleece remains in the sheep's body during summer,the sheep will die due to excessive body heat tapped in the hair.
