Shekhar is a postman. He has to deliver two parcels to a home.He starts at 4.50 pm. He has also delivered to this address previously. Based on the previous experience, he remembers that he will take 5minutes extra if he cycles at a speed of 10 kilometre per minute than at a speed of 5 kilo metre per minute. If he decides to reach its destination by 5 then p.m. then- A)What is the distance between his post office (which is his starting point) and his destination? B)What is the speed with which he should travel to reach the home by 5.10 P.M.? C)How much time would he gain if he cycles at 20km/min?

Answer:

There is no such provision that how much posts a postman will take for delivery. Per day minimum of 50–100 articles( it includes regd, speedpost, heavy parcels and ordinary articles) to maximum 200- 300 articles are being delivered by a postman on a daily basis. Besides these posts heavy parcels are also delivered by postman as door delivery. However, the quantity of posts may differ in rakhi n New Year seasons. Because in this time, huge number of posts are revived nd delivered by Postman even in Sunday.

Normally, delivery out time is 11am from the Post office.

They return to office by 4pm after delivering all the given posts.
