Therefore,

x:y = 2:3

x/y=2/3

x= 2y/3

x + y = 125

Substitute the value of x

x + y = 125

2y/3 +y = 125

2y/3 + 3y/3 = 125

5y/3 = 125

5y = 375

y= 375/5

y= 75

x + y = 125

x + 75 = 125

x = 125 - 75

x= 50

Therefore, x= 50 and y = 7t
