Answer:

Many reforms and changes brought about by Sher Shah Suri (1486 – 1545), were followed by Mughal Emperor Akbar.

The planning and foundation of the Grand Trunk Roads were carried out during the reign of Sher Shah Suri. The Mughals used the system of tri-metalism, introduced by Sher Shah Suri, in their currency - coins issued were of gold, silver and copper. The term ‘Rupee’ was also introduced during Sher Shah Suri’s time, which is used by several Asian countries today.
