• Sher Shah's fame primarily rests on the reforms introduced by him in land and land-revenue. He thoroughly reorganized the land-revenue system in which great attention was paid to the rights and duties of the peasants. His currency reforms included a copper coin called dam.
• Sher Shah built the following buildings:
• Fort of Rohtasgarh on the banks of the river Jhelum in the north-west.
• Purana Qila at New Delhi.
• Mosque in the Purana Qila.
• The Mausoleum of Sher Shah built in the midst of a lake on a lofty plinth, ranks among the most beautiful buildings in India.
