Let Shalu's income = x

Shika's income

= (60% × x)+(x)

= (60/100×x)+(x)

= 3x/5+x

= 3x+5x/5

= 8x/5

% at which Shalu's income is less than Shika

= x ÷ 8x/5 × 100

= x × 5/8x × 100

= 125/2

= 62.5 %
