   \underline{ \large\bold { \: Given: \: }}

  • Rs. 390 for working 47hours
  • Overtime: 7 hour

Next week

  • Rs.416 for working 50 hours
  • Overtime: 8 hour

 \underline{ \large\bold { \: To \:  find: \: }}

  • Shikha’s hourly earning rate

\underline{ \large\bold {  \: Solution :  \: }}

Lets

Shikha earning be Rs x per hour

Overtime Rs is y

 \rm Condition \: 1st :  \\  {:\longrightarrow \boxed{\tt{390 = 40   + 7y}}}

\rm Condition \: 2nd :  \\  {:\longrightarrow \boxed{\tt{416 = 42 + 8y}}}

 \:   \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \tt 320x - 56y = 3120  \\ \:   \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \tt 294x - 56y = 2912  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \tt  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  -  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  -  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  - \\    \rm{sub} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: {\overline{\underline{\tt 26x -  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   = 208}}}

Multiplying the Equation (1) by 8 and Equation (2) by 7

 \implies \tt \: x =  \frac{208}{26}  \\ {\implies {\tt{\boxed{\green{ x =  8}}}}} \\

Substituting the value of x in equation 1 we get,</p><p>  \tt:  \implies40 \times  8 + 7y = 390 \\ \tt:  \implies320 + 7y = 390 \\ \tt:  \implies 7y = 390 - 320 \\  \tt:  \implies  7y = 70 \\  \tt  : \implies \:\frac{ \cancel{70}}{ \cancel{7}}  , y = \boxed{\red{ 10}}</p><p>

Hence,Shikha earning be Rs 8 per hour Overtime Rs is 10
