altough shimla and ludhiana are situated at almost same distance from the equator shimla is much cooler than ludhiana because as the altitude increases the temprature decreases.so,as shimla is situated at much higher altitude than ludhiana ,it is cooler as compared to ludhiana

Shimla and Ludhiana are almost at same distance from the equator. But Shimla is much cooler than Ludhiana it is because though they are almost same distance from equator , Shimla is at much more higher altitude than Ludhiana.
