Black surfaces are the best absorbers of heat radiation. Shiny surfaces are the best reflectors of heat radiation. Shiny surfaces are poor absorbers of heat radiation. ... Radiators in houses do not actually radiate very well; they ought to be painted black.

Answer:

As on shiny objects heat is incident; due to the polishing most of the heatenergy gets reflected back and as a result very less energy (heat) is absorbed. So we can say that shinybodies are only good radiators of heat not good absorber.
