Shipra has 3 rupees which means 300 paise(1 rupee=100 paise)
She has some 25 paise, some 10 paise and some 5 paise.
i.e 25a+10b+5c=300----------(1)
All together she has 36 coins in total.
i.e a+b+c=36-----------(2)
'a' denotes the number of 25 paise coins
'b' denotes the number of 10 paise coins
'c' denotes the number of 5 paise coins
Solving equations (1) and (2) we get
4a+b=24 (if we cancel 'c')
4a+b=24---------(3)
b=24-4a----------(4)
Now substitute values of 'a'
If a=1 then b=20 and c=15
If a=2 then b=16 and c=18
If a=3 then b=12 and c=21
If a=4 then b=8 and c=24
If a=5 then b=4 and c=27
Solution 1
There will be one 25 paise coin, twenty 25 paise coins and fifteen 5 paise coins in her piggy bank.
Solution 2
There will be two 25 paise coins, sixteen 10 paise coins and eighteen 5 paise coins in her piggy bank.
Solution 3
There will be three 25 paise coins, twelve 10 paise coins and twenty one 5 paise coins in her piggy bank.
Solution 4
There will be four 25 paise coins, eight 10 paise coins and twenty four 5 paise coins in her piggy bank.
Solution 5
There will be five 25 paise coins, four 10 paise coins and twenty seven 5 paise coins in her piggy bank.
