then shirins fathers present age is 4x (given)

after 18 years

fathers age will be 4x+18

also shirins age after 18 years is x+18

then given that after 18 years age of father is twice shirins age at that time so

4x+18=2(x+18)

so

4x + 18= 2x + 36

4x-2x=36-18

2x=12

so x=18/2

x=9

so shirins present age is 9 and her fathers present age is 4x i.e 4*9 i.e 36 years
