Shirley was born Oct. 17, 1944, in McClusky, to Sam and Maggie Bauer. Shirley graduated from McClusky High School in 1962 and attended nursing school in Bismarck. She was a nurse at St. Alexius Hospital for 41 years. She was an avid baseball fan, loved traveling and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her brother, Raymond (Shirley) Bauer, Ashley; and two nieces, Deb (Glen) Shipman, and their daughter, Holly (Derek) , Bismarck, and Georgia (John) Kretschman and their son, Andy, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her older brother, Morris.

- Shirley Ann Bauer ( 24.10 1932 – 23.02.2019 ) was born on Oct. 24, 1932.
- She was the daughter of Emil and Rose (Winger) Schmitt and was born at the farmhouse in Cissna Park.
- She married Marvin Charles Bauer on Oct. 14, 1951 in Cissna Park and they celebrated 67 years of marriage.
- She and Marvin were blessed with four children.
- Shirley taught Sunday School for many years and was a founding member of Christian Bible Church.
