Shiv appeared for a test which had 90 multiple choice questions. He was awarded 2 marks for every correct answer and for every question he left unattempted or answer incorrectly, one mark was deducted from his total score. If his final score was 60 , then, If to qualify to the next level he needs a minimum score of 100, what is the least number of questions he needs to answer correctly?

Answer:

Atleast he need to answer 64 off 90 questions correctly

Step-by-step explanation:

If answered 64 correctly , then , 64*2 = 128

Unanswered/Incorrect = total -answered = 90-64 = 26

So, Total marks = 128-26 = 102.

If had 63 questions correctly then 126-27=99----not qualified

So need to answer atleast 64 correctly
