Question :

Shivam bought a piece of cloth for Rupees 950 and spent Rupees 300 on designing it. At what price should he sell it to make 30% profit?

Answer :

Shivam should sell it at Rs 1625 tomake 30% profit.

Step-by-step explanation :

Given,

Shivam bought a cloth for Rs 950.

Money spent for designing = Rs 300

Total price of the cloth = 950 + 300 = Rs 1250

To find - Selling price of the cloth to make 30% profit

S.P = C.P + Profit % of C.P

⇒ 1250 + 30% of 1250

⇒ 1250 + 0.3 × 1250

⇒ 1250 + 375

⇒ 1625

Heya mate
The answer of ur question is

Purchase price of cloth = Rs 950
Cost which spends on it = Rs 300

Now total Cost price = 950 + 300
Cost price = Rs 1250

Profit requirements = 30 %

Profit = Cost price × Profit Percentage
=1250 × 30 %
= 1250 × 30/ 100
= 375

Selling price = C.P. + Gain
= 1250 + 375
= 1625

So , Shivam have to sell the cloth at Rs 1625 to make the profit of 30%

hope it helps
