Shivani is twice as old as her younger brother. He is 6 years younger to Shivani. Find the age of Shivani and her brother.​

let sjivani"s age be= x

so her brother's age be =x+6

but, the age of her brother is twice of her own age, this means =2x

now we have two ages for her brother let's keep them either sides of equal. so,

2x = x + 6

this will come out as, x=6

so according to our result shivani 's. age will be 6 year and her brother’s age will be 12 years(x+6).
