We will proceed as follows:
The total number of questions to be answered correctly to earn a 60% passing grade:
=60% of 75
=60/100×75=45
Now, the number of questions Shoba answered correctly:
=75% of 10+40% of 30+60% of 35
=75/100×10+40/100×30+60/100×35
=7.5+12+21
=40.5
Hence, to earn a 60% passing grade, she needs to answer 5 more questions correctly.
