Shobo's mother age is 6 times of Shobo. After 5yrs Shobo's age will be 1/3 of his mothers present age. We will solve this linear equation in two Variable to get the ages of Shobo and his mother. Hence Shobo's present age is 5yrs and present age of mother will be 5 × 6 = 30yrs.

Let the present age of Shobo be x years .

Then, Shobo's mother's age =6x years

After 5 years: Shobo's age =(x+5) years

∴(x+5)=

×(6x)

On cross multiplying, we get

3×(x+5)=6x

⇒3x+15=6x

⇒3x−6x=−15

⇒−3x=−15
