let,

the CP of the goods is :

100x

_______________________________

m gets profit of 15 %

15 \: \% \: of \: cp \: \\ \\ \frac{15}{100} \times 100x \\ \\ 15x

_______________________________

selling price by m :

CP + profit

100x + 15x

115x

_______________________________

cost price for n is now :

115 x

_______________________________

n makes 5% loss :

 \frac{5}{100} \times 115x \\ \\ \frac{575 \: x}{100} \\ \\ 5.75 \: x

_______________________________

selling price by n :

cost price - loss

115x - 5.75x

109.25 x

_______________________________

but the selling price is given :

13.11 rs = 109.25 x

x = \frac{13.11}{109.25} \\ \\ 0.12 \: rs

______________________________

cost price of the goods :

100x

100 * 0.12

\bold{12 \: rs}

_______________________________

\bold{m \: paid\: rs\: 12\:for \:buying\: the\:goods}
