C.P of 10 article = 200
C.P of 1 article= 200/10 = 20
C.P of 8 article = 20×8=160
S.P of 8 article = 240
Gain = S.P-C.P
=240-160=80
Gain % = gain/C.P×100
=80/200×100=40%

Answer:

The gain% in the sale is 40%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Shopkeeper bought 10 article for rupees 200.Two of this article got damaged if he sold the rest for rupees 240.

To find : How much is the gain percent in the sale?

Solution :

C.P of 10 article = 200

C.P of 1 article= 200/10 = 20

C.P of 8 article = 20×8=160

S.P of 8 article = 240

Gain = S.P-C.P

Gain=240-160

Gain=80

Gain % = gain/C.P×100

Gain%=80/200×100

Gain%=40%

Therefore, The gain% in the sale is 40%.
