Given :-

  • Shopkeeper bought a TV from A distributor at a discount of 25% of the listed price of Rs.32000.
  • The shopkeeper sells the TV to a consumer at the listed price is the sales are interested the rate of GST is 18%.

To Find :-

  • Price inclusive tax of the TV paid by the consumer ?

Solution :-

→ Listed Price of TV = Rs.32000

→ Discount given by distributor = 25% .

→ Selling Price of TV to shopkeeper = { Listed Price * (100 - Discount %) } / 100

→ SP = { 32000 * (100 - 25) } / 100 = 320 * 75 = Rs.24000 .

Now,

→ Listed Price of TV = Rs.24000

→ GST = 18% .

Therefore,

→ price inclusive tax of the TV = 24000 + (18% of 24000) = (24000 * 118)/100 = Rs.28,320

Hence, price inclusive tax of the TV paid by the consumer is Rs.28, 320.
