Shoreline erosion is commonly caused by the action of waves that breaks the shoreline soil and takes away with it. Strong winds are also the reason for shoreline erosion.

Coastal flooding can happen by variety of causes such as storm, hurricane, typhoon, cyclone, rise in sea level due to climate change etc.

Explanation:

Deforestation is also one of the causes of shoreline erosion because the soil becomes loose and is easy to carry away by sea water. Change in climatic conditions such as Global warming can increase the sea level and cause flood.
