Short answer questions
1. List the three conditions that have to be fulfilled for electric current to flow.
2. What is heating effect of electric current?
3. What is a solenoid?
4. Name any three parts of an electric bell.
Answers
1 -To produce an electric current, three things are needed: a supply of electric charges (electrons) which are free to flow, some form of push to move the charges through the circuit and a pathway to carry the charges.
2-When an electric current passes through a conductor (like a high resistance wire) the conductor becomes hot after some time and produces heat. This is called heating effect of Electric Current. Example 1. A bulb becomes hot after its use for some time. This is because of heating effect of electric curren
4-Electromagnet.
Armature.
Spring. etc. 3- Solenoid valves are used to help control the flow of different liquids and gases. These valves are extremely important for the safe use of these materials
