>> When Chuck returned to the company head- quarters , he was fighting hard for comeback. He could work only an hour a day and he couldn't move around.


(b) Why do you think Charles Hooper's appointment as Assistant National Sales Manager is considered to be tribute to Duke?

>> Charles Hooper's appointment as Assistant National sales manager is a special and rich tribute to a dog named Duke as it was Duke who realised that his master was not well and could not balance himself. The dog knew his job to get Chuck on his feet. How the dog poked his nose under Chuck's elbow and lifted, helped him keep balance and take a first step and cover the distance from the clinic to the branch office is praise-worthy. If Duke had not realised the need of his master and had not helped him , he would not have walked and succeeded in achieving the objectives set forth by the company and his promotion would not have become possible.
