2. There are three kinds of blood vessels: arteries, veins, and capillaries. Each of these plays a very specific role in the circulation process.

3. Stethascope

4. Red blood cells: The blood cells that carry oxygen. Red cells contain hemoglobin and it is the hemoglobin which permits them to transport oxygen (and carbon dioxide). Hemoglobin, aside from being a transport molecule, is a pigment. It gives the cells their red color (and their name).

5.The heart consists of four chambers in which blood flows. Blood enters the right atrium and passes through the right ventricle. The right ventricle pumps the blood to the lungs where it becomes oxygenated. The oxygenated blood is brought back to the heart by the pulmonary veins which enter the left atrium.

6.veins contain valves that ensure blood flows in only one direction.

7.phloem

8.mechanism, called transpiration pull, that involves the evaporation of water from leaves. Thus, the explanation for the upward movement of sap in trees is also called the transpiration-cohesion hypothesis.

9. aorta

10. The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle into the lungs for oxygenation. The pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs into the left atrium where it is returned to systemic circulation.
