1. A slideshow, slide show, or slide presentation is a series of pictures or pages of information (slides), often displayed on a large screen using a video projector.
2. A slide transition is the visual effect that occurs when you move from one slide to the next during a presentation.
3. Slide transition is applied between the slide pages whereas animation is applied on an particular object such as a textbox or any shape and image.

1. On the Design tab, right-click the design in the Themes group, and then click Apply to Selected Slides.
2. Click the Insert tab.
In Illustrations group click on the Picture button.
Insert Picture dialogue box appears.
With a click select the desired picture.
Click Insert, the picture will be added to the slide.
Click and drag the picture to move it to desired location.

On the Home tab, click New Slide.
