Ans. In other words environment refers to those surroundings that surrounds living beings from all sides and affect their lives in toto. It consists of atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere. It's chief components are soil, water, air, organisms and solar energy.

Ans. the surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates.

3. What are scavengers?

Ans. Scavengers are animals that consume dead organisms that have died from causes other than predation.

4. What do you mean by stimulus?

Ans. a thing or event that evokes a specific functional reaction in an organ or tissue.

5.What are cold blooded animals ? Give two examples.

Ans. Animals, such as reptiles, fishes, and amphibians, that cannot control their body temperature and therefore become sluggish in cold weather. (Compare warm-blooded animals.)

6.What is the effect of external temperature on cold-blooded animals?

Ans. Cold-blooded animals do not maintain a constant body temperature. They get their heat from the outside environment, so their body temperature fluctuates, based on external temperatures. If it is 50 °F outside, their body temperature will eventually drop to 50 °F, as well.

Ans. abiotic factors can include water, light, radiation, temperature, humidity, atmosphere, acidity, and soil. The macroscopic climate often influences each of the above. Pressure and sound waves may also be considered in the context of marine or sub-terrestrial environments.
