Nelson Mandela was a South African Politician and the former president of South Africa who was born in 1918 and died in 2013.He was the presidsnt of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the anti - Apartheid politician. Apartheid means discrimination of a group of people on the basis of their races . According to apartheid , the black people were not considered equal to the whites. He emerged as a social - worker after and student was shot dead because he couldn't speak English and spoke in his regional language in front of the Britishers. He was the minister of African National Congress.
