A cube is a region of space formed by six identical square faces joined along their edges. Three edges join at each corner to form a vertex. The cube can also be called a regular hexahedron. It is one of the five regular polyhedrons, which are also sometimes referred to as the Platonic solids.

A cube is a three-dimensional figure formed when 6 square face are connected with each other.The cube is the most basic 3D figure you may encounter in geometry. It consists of 6 faces ,vertices and 12 edges. You may calculate these things about the cube :-
a) Total surface area = 6a²
b) Lateral surface area = 4a²
